Dave and Busters Perth
A 44-year-old Dallas arcade bar finally lands in Australia — not as a direct expansion. A Perth licensee runs Clarkson under brand.
Until May 2026, the closest Dave and Buster's to Perth was 9,000 miles away in Dallas. Now there is one in Clarkson, with 75 arcade games, a 40-foot sports screen, and a win room where tickets can be traded for prizes, including a signed Alice Cooper guitar. The original is 44 years old. David Corriveau opened the first Dave and Buster's in Dallas in 1982, with his business partner, James Corley. Until then, arcades were for kids and pubs were for adults. Corriveau and Corley merged the two. They added full restaurants, full bars, and arcade games adults would actually want to play. By 2026, the brand had grown to 160 United States locations and bought family rival Main Event for $835 million. Perth is not Dave and Buster's expanding into Australia. A Perth Hospitality operator called NightOwl Entertainment runs the Clarkson store under license.
