Dazin launched in 2015 as a streaming service dedicated exclusively to sports globally. Traditional broadcasters owned sports rights through long-term exclusive contracts. Dazin had none initially. Instead, the company hired engineers and negotiators to build a direct-to-consumer platform available in 200 territories from day one. Dazin acquired expensive sports rights by outbidding traditional broadcasters directly. The company purchased rights to boxing, Serie A Italian football, Bundesliga German football, and Major League Baseball. Rather than distributing through television networks, Dazin streamed directly to subscribers. The approached bypass television entirely and went straight to viewers worldwide. Dazin's advantage was building the distribution infrastructure before acquiring expensive rights.
