Realtor.com has an exclusive licensing deal with the National Association of Realtors giving it access to MLS data first. The data is more accurate, but accuracy lost to brand. The platform is owned by News Corp. Rupert Murdoch acquired it in 2014 for nearly a billion dollars. Revenue grew to over 600 million by 2023 from selling advertising and leads to agents and mortgage lenders. Zillow moved faster on consumer experience.
