Chloé Fragrance
A 1952 Paris couture house relaunched rose for a generation that had rejected their mothers scent.
The Paris fashion house Chloe launched in 1952. A fragrance license was signed with Cote Prestige in 2006. Chloe Oda Parfum debuted in 2008 and has been among the top-selling rose-forward prestige fragrances globally, almost every year since. Chloe was founded in Paris in 1952 by Gabi Agion with a then-radical commercial thesis. Couture quality clothing could be produced as luxury-ready-to-wear rather than bespoke at a scale that let more women access the aesthetic. The fashion house became a training ground for future creative directors, including Karl Lagerfeld and Phoebe Filo. In 2006, the house partnered with Cote Prestige to relaunch the fragrance line and the 2008 Chloe Oda Parfum was composed by Michel Almeirach around a modern rose accord.
