Givenchy Beauty

Composed for Audrey Hepburn in 1957. She wore it on screen for the rest of her career.

Uber de Givenchy founded his Paris couture house in 1952 and designed gowns for Audrey Hepburn through her entire film career. The beauty and fragrance license sits inside LVMH today and generates revenue at scales the couture house alone could never achieve. Givenchy launched as a Paris fashion house in 1952, and its signature fragrance, Linterty, was composed in 1957 specifically for Audrey Hepburn, reportedly at her personal request. Hepburn wore the fragrance on and off screen for years, creating one of the first documented cases of an actress endorsing a fragrance through genuine personal use. LVMH acquired Givenchy in 1988 as part of its French luxury consolidation, and the beauty and fragrance business has operated continuously within LVMH's prestige division since.
